Vinyl flooring is synthetic flooring that is affordable, durable, and easy to install.
Vinyl comes in many forms, in particular; long sheets, tiles, planks, and interlocking strips.
How it performs depends on where you have vinyl. We would recommend placing it in kitchens and bathrooms, this is because vinyl is water-resistant and dries quickly. Vinyl will also not stain and can withhold humidity.
Yes, your laminate floors will need to acclimate before installation. Laminate floors will expand and retract when adjusting to new surrounding humidity and temperature levels. Due to this, it is best to allow the materials to acclimate in the intended room before installation for at least 48 hours.
There are many reasons why underlayment is important. It will extend the life of your carpet by helping to reduce fiber crushing and keep your carpet thicker, for longer. The insulating properties of carpet underlayment keep your energy bill down and your home well-insulated. It will also provide extra comfort and improve the acoustics of your house!
